Some of these people are Realtors. I was a Realtor and I know the law and let me tell Larry that homeowners are not held to the same standards as a professional. That is total crap. A settlement attorney can do the contract and the closing for a miniscule 300.00. Don’t believe me? make some calls and check your federal regulations pal.

Oh, People do tend to over price their homes but they can always come down if they don’t owe more than it’s worth. Larry, you will never be my agent.

obviously dottiej knkows very little about real estate transactions. do you want strangers coming to your house under the guise of maybe buying it. Do you know how to “qualify” a buyer? Do you know real estate law for your state? You can be sued in most states for misrepresentation, discrimination. and a host of other matters. I could go on and on about the many pitfalls of trying to sell a house without proper knowledge and training. About the blog from someone whose house was on the market for 17 months without being sold - there was only one reason - PRICE! And the agent probably told her so several times, but to no avail.l

Basically, I feel that to sell a home via fsbo is the best way for both seller and buyer. Each person is helping the other by nullifying myriad red tape schemes and bureaucracy delays.

You guys are crazy! My house has been listed with leading Realtors for 17 months now, Caldwell Banker and ERA, with some of the best Realtors in town and they can’t seem to sell the house. All they are doing is listing it in Realtor.com and the MLS. We have been getting lookers but that’s all.

They really don’t seem to know how to SELL, and I have to practically beg to get any feedback from them about those how have come looking.

The current realtor has until end of November to sell it then I’m taking matters into my own hands. I can put out a sign and list just as good as they can.

most of the properties that are sold by owner are over priced.

this is the reason that they are siting on the market.

today you need the real estate agents.

this is not the market for a home owner to sell by himself.

you need professional experts.
